Adani Energy Solutions (AESL), the power transmission and distribution company of Adani group, has won the bid for Halvad Transmission line project from PFC Consulting (PFCCL).
Halvad Transmission line project, a special purpose vehicle (SPV), was set up by PFCCL for evacuating 7 gigawatt (GW) of renewable energy (RE) from the Khavda Renewable Park in Gujarat being developed by Adani group. AESL acquired it through a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process. The company did not divulge the bid amount.
The world’s largest RE park, with a generation capacity of 30,000 MW of green energy, is coming up at Khavda, Gujarat. The Halvad transmission line, part of the national grid, will help evacuate 7 GW of RE by connecting Khavda to Halvad, also in Gujarat, it said.
Recently, Tata Power won the bid to acquire Bikaner-III Neemrana-II Transmission, a project SPV set up by PFC Consulting, a subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation.
In another announcement , AESL said its wholly-owned subsidiary Adani Transmission Step-Four entered into an agreement for formation of 49:51 joint venture with UAE-based Esyasoft Holdings to implement smart metering projects in the country and globally.
Abu Dhabi’s International Holding Company (IHC) is a major shareholder in Esyasoft through its subsidiary Sirius International Holdings.
Besides serving AESL’s current and future needs, the JV would also bid for and execute Indian and global orders. It has about 100 experts spread across India, the UAE, the UK and KSA, serving major Indian discoms, Scottish Gas and UAE-based utilities like FEWA, DEWA, SEWA and ADDC, the company said.
