The Delhi airport on Tuesday alerted passengers of flight delays as dense fog continued to hover over the national capital for the third consecutive day, bringing down the visibility to nearly zero.As per the Delhi Airport Flight Information Display System data, the Indira Gandhi International or IGI airport experienced delays in both arrivals and departures for about 30 flights, while 12 flights, 11 to Jaipur and 1 to Lucknow were diverted from 6 am to 12 pm. Earlier on Monday, as many as eight flights were diverted from the Delhi airport, seven to Jaipur and one to Ahmedabad. The flight diversions took place between 6 am and 9 am, officials said. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has updated that dense to very dense fog is likely to continue over Delhi, and parts of northwest & central India during the next 3-4 days The fog conditions are likely to continue in the early hours/morning hours in many parts of Delhi between December 27 and 31st including some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Uttar Pradesh.
