5 dead as Japan Airlines plane burst into flames after massive collision at Tokyo Airport - Watch

A Japan Airline’s plane caught fire on a runway at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport on Tuesday. Local media reports say that airport authorities are trying to douse the blaze and find out the reason of behind the accident. A footage by public broadcaster NHK is being shared on various social media platforms.

The BBC citing an NHK report said that possible cause of the blaze was head-on collision of the Japan Airlines aircraft another plane that made landing at Haneda. A Reuters report says that the other aircraft was of Coast Guard. Local reports say that all runways at the Haneda Airport have been shut down.
Latest reports say that the Coast Guard plane, which collided with the JAL aircraft was a big Dash 8 plane. The Dash 8 family has achieved considerable success, surpassing 1,200 deliveries and maintaining a prominent presence on regional and feeder-liner routes across the globe.

The captain of the Coast Guard plane has survived the collision. However, five of the crew members were ‘unaccounted for’. Now, NHK reports that five of the six crew members have died in the collision. The burning planes broke into two parts following the massive collision.
