LTIMindtree appointed former senior executive of Amazon Web Services (AWS),Shuchi Sarkar, as its new chief marketing officer. Sarkar succeeded Paresh Vankar, who resigned in October last year.
Sarkar was the global head of marketing – segments at AWS, just before joining the Indian IT firm. The development comes less than two months after LTIMindtree appointed three new chief business officers (CBO) for three of its business units – retail and consumer goods, manufacturing and life sciences and healthcare.
Mathews will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of Accenture’s global procurement spend, the company said in a statement. Before joining Accenture, Mathews served as senior vice president and group head of procurement at Infosys.
Mathews worked with Infosys for about 15 years before joining Accenture. He has also worked with Tata Group, FreeMarkets (now SAP Ariba) and Marico, where he developed innovative and data-driven approaches to sustainable procurement.
Binny Mathews, chief procurement officer, Accenture, said, “I’m excited to lead Procurement Plus and continue advancing Accenture’s global leadership in responsible buying, with sustainability, transparency, agility and inclusivity underscoring how we work with our suppliers around the world and across the marketplace.”
