Israeli Air Force, last night, shared a video claiming to airstrike Hezbollah military compounds in the village areas of Lebanon, escalating the tensions between Lebanon and Israel. Posting a video on X (formerly Twitter), the Israeli Air Force informed about the jets attacking Hezbollah facilities in village Marvin and Ayta ash Shab, located at the border of Israel and Lebanon.
The post read, “During the night, Air Force fighter jets attacked a military compound of the terrorist organisation Hizbullah in the area of the village of Marvin, as well as a rocket launcher and terrorist infrastructure in the area of the village of Ayita al-Sha’ab.”
According to another post on X, the Israeli Air Force shared the visuals of another air strike on Hezbollah in Lebanese territory. The post also informed the attack was in retaliation for an anti-tank missile launched from the Lebanese territory towards the border city of Kiryat Shmona.

The tension between Hezbollah and Israel has been high since the assassination of a senior Hamas leader in an Israeli strike in Beirut. According to a report by the Associated Press, Israel has warned Hezbollah of another war. Israeli Defence Forces are working to eradicate Hamas from central and southern Gaza. A war with Hezbollah will open the war front at the northern borders of Israel.
In recent affairs, Hezbollah launched several missiles on Israel. Israel also reported that Mount Meron air traffic control base has inflicted damage to the missile attack. Iran-backed Hezbollah calls for a ceasefire in Gaza.
U.S. concerned about war escalations
Media reports of Israel and America state that the Biden administration is concerned about “another war” that Israel might enter with Hezbollah. “If the Gaza war ends tomorrow, Netanyahu’s political career will end with it, incentivizing him to broaden the conflict,” anonymous US officials told the Washington Post.
Antony Blinken in Middle-East
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has made at least five visits to the Middle East since the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel. At present, he is on a five-day visit to the region, visiting Qatar and Jordan on Sunday, and later to other stakeholders to mediate peace talks and ceasefire.
