The initial session signaled the start of the inaugural batch, a 5-day Aviation Security Awareness Course (AVSEC) hosting 40 trainees representing Surat, Vadodara, Gwalior, Raipur, Indore, and Bhopal. Among them, 24 are affiliated with AAI Cargo Logistics and Allied Services Company (AAICLAS), 12 with PSA, and 4 with ASCOs.Classified as an authorized Immigration check post for entry or exit in India, the Bhopal airport was ranked No. 1 among tier-two cities in the last customer satisfaction index survey.Further, the airport is expecting customs approval soon for international flights. The airport has already made preparations including the installation of electronic gates, immigration counters, and customs counters adhering to international standards.Located in the Gandhi Nagar area of Madhya Pradesh, the Raja Bhoj International Airport is the primary airport serving the people in Bhopal. It lies 15 km north-west of Bhopal city center on National Highway 12.

Boosting state-of-the-art infrastructure

By reducing lateral separation between aircraft, the Indian air traffic control underwent a significant change with increased efficiency and capacity. The Airport Authority of India (AAI) allows air traffic controllers to decrease separation from 10 to 5 nautical miles.Improved surveillance capabilities, modernization of navigation radars, and technology enable this change. The reduction increases airspace capacity by 40%, providing airlines with fuel-efficient routes.
