Royalty is often synonymous with opulence—luxurious cars, airplanes, priceless diamonds, and a plethora of extravagances. Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn, also known as King Rama X, epitomizes this regal lifestyle, showcasing an unparalleled collection of wealth.
Considered one of the wealthiest individuals globally, King Maha Vajiralongkorn possesses a dazzling assortment of diamonds and gems, making him a figure of opulence. According to the Financial Times, the wealth of Thailand’s royal family is estimated at over USD 40 billion, equivalent to 3.2 lakh crore.
A gem in his crown is the 545.67-carat brown Golden Jubilee diamond, valued at approximately Rs 98 crore, recognized as the world’s largest and most expensive diamond.
The royal fleet boasts 38 aircraft, including 21 helicopters, comprising Boeing, Airbus aircraft, and the Sukhoi Superjet. The annual maintenance cost for these aircraft amounts to Rs 524 crore. His collection of over 300 luxury cars includes Limousines and Mercedes Benz. Additionally, he owns 52 boats, each intricately adorned with gold carvings.
The King’s palace, constructed in 1782, spans an impressive 23,51,000 square feet. However, he currently does not reside in this historic palace, as it accommodates various government offices and museums.
While King Maha Vajiralongkorn indulges in a lavish lifestyle with a remarkable array of valuable possessions, it is noteworthy that his wealth, estimated at USD 40 billion, doesn’t surpass the fortunes of notable Indian tycoons like Mukesh Ambani or Adani. Despite this, his opulent lifestyle remains a dream for many.
