BITS Pilani and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya form alliance for research and education

BITS Pilani has formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, a transportation university. This partnership is aimed to enhance collaborative endeavours in research and development, teaching, executive education, curriculum development, joint programmes, faculty training, entrepreneurship, incubation, as well as joint conferences and workshops, according to an official release.
The collaboration aims to capitalise on the distinctive strengths and expertise of each institution, creating a synergistic environment for transformative initiatives. Through the consolidation of resources and knowledge, BITS Pilani and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya aspire to push the boundaries of research and education, addressing challenges and opportunities in dynamic fields such as Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductors, Sensors and beyond, the release mentioned.
The significant collaboration was commemorated in a virtual ceremony, where leadership teams from both institutions, despite geographical distances, came together to sign the MOU. This event solidifies a commitment to fostering innovation, knowledge exchange and academic excellence, as per the release.
“By joining forces with BITS Pilani, we aim to create a powerhouse of innovation and excellence in areas that are crucial for the sustainable development of our society, nation and economy; and to contribute towards Viksit Bharat@2047,” Manoj Choudhary, vice chancellor, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, said.
