This award, valued at £10,000, will be granted through a reduction in tuition fees for eligible candidates enrolled in an undergraduate degree programme commencing in autumn 2024, according to an official statement. Prospective applicants must submit their applications by April 22, 2024, at 1 pm (UK time). Subsequently, the recipients of the scholarship will be revealed on May 15, 2024. Successful applicants will be required to confirm their acceptance of the scholarship offer, the statement mentioned. Self-funding is a prerequisite for tuition fee purposes and candidates must be eligible to pay the overseas tuition fee. Sponsored students are not eligible to apply. Additionally, applicants must enroll in a degree programme at the University of Sheffield in either year one or year two. March programmes are classified as postgraduate taught programmes for scholarship purposes and do not qualify for any undergraduate scholarships. New students enrolling in the University in 2024 from a Delhi Public School Society (DPS) institution in India are eligible for this scholarship. Prospective applicants must possess an offer of admission to the University of Sheffield prior to submitting their scholarship application, it added.

In the U.S., oil drilling rigs were up by one at 501 last week, Baker Hughes said in its weekly report.JPMorgan forecasted 26 oil rigs to be added this year, most of them in the Permian during the first half of the year.
“The timing of drilling is paramount, as rig additions at the start of the year will contribute to 2H24 production growth,” the bank’s analysts said in a note.
“Despite an impressive 1 mbd of crude and condensate production growth in 2023, we expect 2024 supply to increase by only 400 kbd due to lower completions activity levels vs 2023.”
